Organic products in Canada must be certified. At Windberry Farms we are certified by Pro-Cert and have regular inspections to ensure we are meeting the rigorous standards of the Canada Organic Regime.

Free Range
Organic chickens have access to an outdoor pen when the weather permits.
Access to Natural Light
All of our barns have large windows to allow natural light in the barn at all times of the year.
Organic Feed
We feed our chickens certified organic feed from a local feed mill. The feed is certified organic; this ensures that the feed is antibiotic free, contains no animal by-products, is GMO-Free, and the grains & ingredients used are certified organic. We can be sure the chickens are fed the best.

More Barn Space
Organic chicken requires 32% more space in the barn than conventionally raised chicken. This allows them more room to roam around, peck, scratch and dust bathe. It also lowers competition at the feeders and waterers.
